Sherwin-Williams Rolls Out New Pro Tools and Technologies to Ease Selection and Purchase
Updated website, new PRO App and enhanced digital color tools help professional customers save time and increase productivity
CLEVELAND (Jan 10, 2017) – Sherwin-Williams is making it easier than ever for professionals to get their work done, with a new lineup of tools and technologies that is rolling out now and throughout 2017. The enhancements include more personalized information and capabilities on Sherwin-Williams.com, plus a new pro app and updates to digital color selection tools.
All these new features are designed to better serve Sherwin-Williams most loyal customers — builders, contractors, property managers and other professionals — who place large or frequent orders and trust Sherwin-Williams to provide exceptional customer service and added value.
“We know the demands placed on our customers require that we make the paint selection and purchase process as flexible and convenient as possible,” said Pam Gillikin, senior director e-business marketing, Sherwin-Williams. “That’s why we’ve been investing in a variety of ways to make their interactions with Sherwin-Williams even more seamless. We’re committed to helping our professional customers grow their businesses and we believe these new tools will further support their growth.”
New features for Sherwin-Williams.com
Late in 2016, Sherwin-Williams launched a re-platformed Sherwin-Williams.com with a number of improvements for pros. These include the ability for a pro to see their personalized pricing upon login, and use enhanced search and a Google Maps store locator. Sherwin-Williams pro customers who have registered on myS-W.com already have the ability to manage their account online by paying invoices, saving favorites from the website and viewing purchase history.
Mobile enhancements: New PRO app
Professionals can also look forward to a new PRO app, scheduled for release in the beginning of 2017. The current ProBuy+ app will be retired and customers will be able to download a new PRO app with all the same great features including the latest pro deals, product and color information, plus an enhanced store locator and paint calculator. Additional updates will be introduced throughout the year to provide more value to professional paint customers.
Taking control of color: Enhanced selection tools
Sherwin-Williams continues to introduce enhancements to its ColorSnap® system of digital color tools that make exploring and selecting color convenient and easy. Recent updates to the ColorSnap Visualizer series of apps for desktop, iPad and mobile devices make searching for color as simple as a swipe of a finger. Customers can now get a realistic look at paint selection by viewing 3-D room scenes that even allow previews in day or night settings. With the Color Chip Locator, they can add colors to a palette and then rotate the mobile device to pinpoint a color’s exact location on the in-store color wall.
Sherwin-Williams is also first to market with an integrated Pinterest API, which allows customers to find the closest-matching Sherwin-Williams colors to their pins — perfect for clients looking to pin boards for inspiration. Other highlights include the ability to save palettes across all devices with a myS-W.com account, access expert color picks and more.
