Ware Malcomb Announces Southern California Promotions and Appointments

IRVINE, Calif. (March 13, 2018) – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced a number of people moves across its Southern California offices. Lucas Corsbie has joined the firm as Director, Civil Engineering in the firm’s Irvine office; Kimberly Huffman has been promoted to Director, Regional Operations in the firm’s Irvine office; and Nathan Dean has been promoted to Director, Regional Operations in the firm’s San Diego office.

“These moves reflect the continued growth of Ware Malcomb’s operations across Southern California in both scope and scale,” said Lawrence R. Armstrong, CEO. “Moreover, they position the firm to maintain its significant growth trajectory in 2018 and beyond.”

Lucas Corsbie, Director, Civil Engineering (Irvine Office)
Corsbie brings nearly 14 years of experience in civil engineering and land surveying for various types of land development and construction projects to his new role at Ware Malcomb. As Director, Civil Engineering, he is responsible for the growth and management of civil engineering services across the Southern California region and oversees all civil engineering projects in the Irvine office.

Corsbie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. A licensed Professional Engineer, Luke is also a licensed Land Surveyor, LEED Accredited Professional, Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP), and Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD).

Kimberly Huffman, Director, Regional Operations (Irvine Office)
Huffman joined Ware Malcomb’s commercial team in 2013 as a Job Captain, and was quickly promoted to Project Architect. Her experience includes a variety project types including office, industrial, manufacturing, renovation, retail and public. In the fall of 2016, Huffman was tapped to be Regional Operations Manager, and has since led the region and focused on creating operational efficiencies through her dedicated oversight. In her new role as Director, Regional Operations, Huffman oversees the operations function for Ware Malcomb’s Irvine, Inland Empire and Los Angeles offices.

A Licensed Architect in the State of California, Huffman graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

Nathan Dean, Director, Regional Operations (San Diego Office)
Dean joined Ware Malcomb in 2004 as a Project Manager, leading a number of key corporate accounts. During his time at Ware Malcomb, he has earned his Master’s degree, obtained his architectural license, and become one of the region’s lead Project Architects. Dean’s versatile skillset have allowed him to build a strong operations structure for the San Diego, office while also assisting the other Southwest regional offices. In his new role as Director, Regional Operations, Dean oversees the operations function for Ware Malcomb’s San Diego, Downtown San Diego, Phoenix, Mexico City and Panama offices.

Dean holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Architecture degree from The Rhode Island School of Design, as well as a Master’s Degree in Accountancy and Financial Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management. He is a licensed Architect in the State of California and a LEED Accredited Professional.
